Filmmaker pal Jacob Krupnick of Wild Combination asked me to collaborate on some lettering that was inspired by vogue-dancer Kia Labeija's killer movements for the new Pillar Point music video, Dove. View the entire video here. It's a good one.

This is one of three bikes built by friend and collaborator Taras Kravtchouk for the luxury fashion brand, Belstaff. This 1973 Triumph was built custom for display inside of the Los Angeles Belstaff store. I painted details on the tank and racing plate as Taras finished the build in his shop. Shortly thereafter, Ryan Handt shot these gorgeous photos. See more here.

This poster is a personal piece designed after seeing The Place Beyond the Pines. This phrase is uttered to Ryan Gosling's character with strong notes of foreshadowing. I thought it would make for a great motorcycle safety reminder.

Inspired by my favorite show, Fast N' Loud, I drew this up on a plane from Texas to NYC. It's a phrase that the Gas Monkees say in their garage, and I thought it would make for a fun lettering piece.

We all need a little reminder to get back to the grindstone once in awhile.

Shopify asked me to create a design that would be printed by Holstee on coasters. Distributed at Shopify-sponsored events, these coasters represent the design-centric thinking of the company.

In collaboration with Squarespace, this artwork was created to embody the spirit of the annual Heartbreaker Banquet. The music festival takes place on Willie Nelson's ranch in Luck, Texas every year and attracts a crowd of artists and cowboys. Squarespace used this artwork on tee shirts, coasters, tote bags, and on-site signage. This is the second year that I've created artwork for the Heartbreaker Banquet.

Inspired by a crash photo I saw on Instagram, I designed this lettering to go on a Ruby helmet. When safety looks this good, there's no excuse to not wear a helmet.

This lettering piece was presented as a slide during a short lecture to a crowd at the 99U conference. The event was a night of networking, and I tried to bring an element of "realness" to the discussion. 

This graphic was created to honor the image of the Hells Angels but spin history into a more positive light. Created for J.P. of The Selvedge Yard, he requested that we take the biker phrase FTW (Fuck The World) but instead write it as "Fare Thee Well." This graphic is available in black and white as a limited edition tee shirt on the TSY website here.

In March 2014 I visited the wilderness of Texas for the first time and met a mysterious guy wearing a navy suit and a cowboy hat. I learned later that he is a songwriter under the moniker of Shaky Graves, and I became obsessed with his song, Late July. I left Texas with a feeling of eagerness and inspiration, and drew this when I got home to NYC.

I created some retro-stylin' lettering for the product team at Etsy! Having lots of friends on the team, I was already very excited to work with them. When they asked for a baseball-style script, I knew we were going to make something fun together.

I created this gif for the Got Love for Sale show at the Land Gallery in Portland. Curated by Kate Bingaman-Burt, Will Bryant, and Frank Chimero, this show devoted itself to showcasing Valentines designed as Talking Heads fanart. This gif was printed as a lenticular postcard which animated as it was moved.

This piece of lettering was created as a promotional decoration for my favorite conference ever, Brooklyn Beta. The design was printed on pennants and flags, as well as painted on a megaphone.
